Anthropic announced on the 2nd that it has launched an iOS/iPad app for its AI model and chat service, "Claude". The company also introduced a team plan for Claude 3, which includes three AI models.
Released in March, "Claude 3" has been touted for surpassing the processing and comprehension abilities of ChatGPT and Copilot's GPT-4, drawing significant attention. Previously, Claude was only available via a web version and API, making this the first app deployment for the platform.
The new iOS/iPad app seamlessly syncs with the web version under the same account, allowing users to share history and resume sessions across devices without interruption. Additionally, the app features a "Vision" capability, enabling real-time image analysis and context understanding using photos from the library or newly captured images.
Both Pro and Team plan users, as well as those on the free version, can now enhance their mobile experience with Claude, broadening capabilities in brainstorming and image analysis.
Enhancing the Pro features, the Team plan is available at $30 per user per month. It supports three AI models from Claude 3—Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku—and is designed for team use. While the "Claude Pro" version costs $20, the Team plan includes all Pro features such as long-text handling, priority access, and early access to new features, but with higher chat capacity and administrative user management tools.
The entire Claude 3 model family, including Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku, is designed to handle use cases ranging from lengthy academic papers to complex financial forecasts with a 200K context window.
In the coming weeks, Anthropic plans to release additional collaborative features, including integration with trusted sources, codebases, and CRM databases, further enhancing the utility and versatility of the Claude platform.
